Legal weed of the USA refers to the weeds which are considered legal by the country and different states with application of certain laws and conditions over it. In the USA, weed is legal for 38 among the 50 states for scientific and medical use where 24 states have been legalized just for recreational use to the users.

Weed is considered legal by the federal level if the products have less than 0.3% delta-9 THC containing CBD, delta-8 THC, and also other cannabinoids derived from hemp which are cannabis containing less than 0.3% delta-9 THC. However, the legality and enforcement varies from state to state.

Legal weed of USA legalized

Weed primarily started in the USA since the Colonial Era. The production of hemp in the 17th century started for the production of cotton. In the 19th century the weed production expanded and it began its steps over medical fields and was available for the public through pharmacies.

In 1990, Mexican immigrants brought marijuana for recreational use in the US and slowly the negative effects started to arise which soon led to different anti drugs campaigns. By 1931, 29 states in the US had made marijuana illegal.

In 1996 California voters approved Proposition 215, allowing for the trade and medical use of marijuana for patients with different fatal and chronic diseases like AIDS, cancer, and others. Since the distinct advantages and disadvantages of marijuana it still has not been able to be constantly legal or legal in the country.
